Engagement sync

Normalize engagement data across sequencers without overstating it.

GTM Inboxes pulls sent, open, reply, and bounce metrics from connected sequencers into one normalized shape, labels how trustworthy each provider's attribution is, and keeps sync jobs gated until a deployment enables them.

Attribution quality differs by provider

Instantly reports per-account analytics directly, so its attribution is labeled direct. Smartlead only exposes campaign-level analytics, so GTM splits metrics proportionally across the campaign's accounts and labels the result approximate. EmailBison reports direct per-sender data but does not expose click counts, so click metrics stay at zero rather than being estimated.

  • Direct attribution: Instantly per-account daily analytics keyed by inbox email.
  • Approximate attribution: Smartlead campaign totals split across member accounts.
  • Known gaps stay visible: EmailBison click data is absent, not invented.

Reply intelligence is an EmailBison surface

For EmailBison integrations, GTM additionally classifies replies into positive, negative, out-of-office, spam, and neutral, computes interest and spam-folder rates, and raises an alert when the spam-folder rate climbs. Other providers sync engagement counts without reply classification.

Sync jobs are gated, and honestly dormant

Engagement, warmup-stats, and limit-push syncs are background jobs gated by the deployment's job cost profile. Under the default profile they are disabled and log that state — dashboards show honest zeros or empties rather than synthetic engagement numbers.
