Glossary definition

SMTP readiness

SMTP readiness is the operational check that an inbox can authenticate and submit mail through the managed SMTP path without exposing its password.

How GTM Inboxes uses this term

GTM Inboxes computes smtpReadiness from inbox status, managed MTA assignment, SMTP and IMAP metadata, credential metadata, and recent redacted smoke-test logs before deciding whether a row can export.

What SMTP readiness does and does not prove

SMTP readiness proves connection and credential posture for the managed sending path. It does not prove inbox placement, spam-folder avoidance, or campaign performance. Prospect traffic still needs seed-placement evidence and launch-gate approval.

How GTM uses the check

Readiness output is included in inbox list and get responses, workspace readiness reports, and export partitioning. Ready inboxes can proceed while not-ready rows receive redacted blocker reasons.
